All about the honey Description, storage & shelf life
Greek Sidr Thorn Honey
From the wild thorn bush that grows on Greece's mountain slopes comes one of the country's rarest and most sought-after honeys. The Greek thorn bush (Paliurus spina-christi) is a close relative of the famous Sidr tree (Ziziphus spina-christi), and its honey shares many of the qualities that have made Sidr honey so treasured in the Middle East. That is why it is often called "Greek Sidr".
The flavour is full and complex: a rich sweetness balanced by fruity, slightly tart notes and finished with a smooth hint of caramel. The texture is thick and silky, with a natural density that keeps it luxuriously soft.
The honey is raw and unpasteurised, so its natural enzymes, antioxidants and nutrients are preserved. The harvest is small and depends on a short flowering season, which makes every jar a rarity: a true Greek speciality for those who value authenticity and the highest quality.
Storage & shelf life
